Pioneer Racing are a professional, fun, inclusive and affordable racing syndicate that has enabled me to take my first steps into race horse ownership. I had toyed with the idea of ownership previously, but had been concerned by my lack of knowledge in the owner side of the game. When I registered my interest, Pioneer Racing took the time to arrange a phone call and discuss their approach to racing, from their beginnings, to current horses, to future aspirations. They also took the time to consider what I was hoping to gain from ownership, and this supported me to choose what package would suit me. Communication within the syndicate is second to none, with a welcoming, active, Whatsapp group providing information around horses you are involved in, alongside great discussions around the sport and a great laugh. You might even follow a good tip if you keep your ear to the ground!

I am a novice when it comes to horse racing but have found that being an owner through Pioneer Racing has really helped me develop my understanding of the sport. The syndicate are really knowledgeable and don’t mind helping me out when I’m not sure of terminologies, form etc. I’ve felt welcome and part of the group from Day 1. The communication is also superb and I never feel out of place. I really enjoy being part of the syndicate and having regular updates on the horse I’m involved in courtesy of Gordon Elliott and his team which make me feel closer to, and an increased appreciation for, the sport than I would have otherwise done. I would definitely recommend Pioneer Racing, particularly if you’re thinking about taking your first steps into the world of racehorse ownership

Where do I start, the team that run Pioneer and the team behind the scenes really know their stuff.  In the welcome pack/introduction information there’s plenty about each of the folks at the top to know that the direction of Pioneer is in very safe hands.

Being involved in Pioneer has been great, who would not want the top jockeys riding horses they are involved in trained by the master that is Gordon Elliott. His record is second to none.  Communication methods are great being part of Pioneer and we have a Whatsapp group for all the owners plus individual Whatsapp groups for each Pioneer horse that you are involved in. You are constantly kept up to date with how your horse is training and any potential entries and future running plans. Content such as pictures and videos of your horses are also provided. This is something that has not been provided in previous experiences of mine. It is great fun being a part of Pioneer and I have met some great people from the UK and Ireland all with different racing knowledge and interests. The welcoming and fun atmosphere amongst all the owners is great with some great banter along with in depth discussion regarding the sport. A personal favourite of mine is the Owners yard visits which occur throughout the year which allows you a chance to see your horse at home, as well as all the other stable stars at Gordon’s. It is great to see this working environment and I have been privileged to see schooling over hurdles also. It really is great to see behind the scenes and get an idea of what a day in the life of a racehorse is.

In my experience Pioneer Horse Racing syndicate has been much more than just owning shares in a horse. Living overseas affords me limited opportunities to go watch my horse run, but the constant updates via the WhatsApp group is fantastic.  Videos, pictures and stable updates ensure that I am involved every step of the way. The camaraderie and banter with the other owners has brought me a whole new bunch of friends. Pioneer makes horse racing a team sport. Join the team!

I’m delighted to have joined Pioneer Horse Racing. I had never owned a share in a horse before and I was a bit dubious to begin with, however as soon as I heard what Pioneer had to offer and that the master himself Gordon Elliott would be training the horses I was signed up. The first horse I was involved in with Pioneer was Pats Oscar who managed to win not only once but twice whilst also placing on various occasions all in the space of six months. Gordon runs his horses regularly up and down the country so its a great day out if it happens to be at a racecourse near you. The WhatsApp group is my morning newspaper, We receive up to date content showing the horses progress whilst it also makes for some great horse racing discussion and some good information shared regarding the sport. People have got to know each other in the group so you re never alone at race meeting .Stable tours are organised regularly ensuring plenty ofopportunities for owners to visit and I’ll be attending my first one on Oct 13th which I’m looking forward to very much. I highly recommend getting involved with Pioneer Horse Racing.

I’ve been involved with Pioneer from the start and have loved every step of it, I had taken a share in Supreme Escape originally which I viewed as an exciting project and different to what a lot of other syndicates had offered with the option of going down the point to point route. It has been great to see the development from an unraced 3 year old store horse and I have had the pleasure to see him come on leaps and bounds and have learnt plenty regarding Racing and the grassroots levels. The thrill of seeing your horses pop fences and schooling on a early spring morning is priceless. I cannot fault the lads which run Pioneer who always keep me in the loop and am looking forward to the future with Supreme Escape and my new purchase Kid Commando.

I would just like to say what a pleasure it is to be involved with such a well run racing syndicate. For a very reasonable price I have had the opportunity to become involved with a top trainer and even found myself in the winners enclosure when Pioneer had a winner at Fairyhouse! Would recommend to anyone
