Pioneer are over the moon to have purchased the highly impressive and imposing Irish 4 year old P2P winner Bravo Team who will be trained by Gordon Elliott at Cullentra House Stables.

The first thing that caught our eye was the sheer presence that this gelding has, he really is a fine specimen to look at and a proper old fashion chasing type in build. Secondly the course he won at Dromahane has a fine record of producing champions and is one of the most highly regarded P2P circuits in Ireland.

The sire Imperial Monarch is starting to produce the goods on the track with his progeny with Cill Anna and Star Gate both being good flagbearers showcasing his ability to get stock with size, scope and most importantly good ability to jump. Star Gate & Cill Anna also have another thing in common with Bravo Team and that is that they both won a Irish 4yo P2P under the tutelage of master P2P handler Colin Bowe who’s graduates need no introduction with names such as Envoi Allen and Samcro being amongst them.

Gordon & Mouse have an excellent relationship with Colin Bowe in which this horse was flagged as one to follow when appearing as a 4yo in the autumn with his jumping being a big asset. It was no surprise to see the style in which he won at Dromahane (see video below) as he has been an excellent jumper at home and come through Colin’s system with flying colours. Gordon managed to secure him and likes what he has seen at home.

We feel we have got a real bargain buying this gelding and are very excited to see him make his debut in our colours during the Winter season and race in them for years to come. We believe this is a horse who can take his owners to all the top tracks and will be a big player especially when seen over a fence.
