In From The Cold – Dual Purpose Winner Joins Pioneer Racing

Pioneer Racing are thrilled to have secured another very talented horse in the form of ‘IN FROM THE COLD’ he is a very tough dual purpose winner who we secured from the recent Goffs horse-in-training sale.

In From The Cold has been on Gordon and his team’s radar since the initial sales entries came out due to a number of factors including his racing ability, durability and the high level of form he has shown not only on the flat but also over hurdles for his previous connections. Gordon and his team believe he is a horse who is on an exploitable mark both over jumps and on the flat who has the potential to win and compete in big races in both codes at the big meetings, we also have the added bonus of having close knowledge of the horse from our sponsored jockey Sam Ewing who rode him on his most recent flat win and believes the fantastic facilities at Cullentra will bring out a lot of improvement in the horse over further distances than he is currently running and has recommended this horse strongly to ourselves.

As Pioneer has continued to grow and following on from having high profile runners and winners, we were determined to secure another high class recruit to join the existing team of horses and what we like about In From The Cold is his versatile profile and the ability to be able to run in the high value races throughout the season under both codes where we expect him to not only be competitive but to be in the winners enclosure. In From The Cold has been bought out of a stable who would mainly focus on the flat and we believe the setup at Gordon’s yard will bring out vast improvement in the horse especially when looking at continuing over hurdles.

We believe In From The Cold offers a great opportunity to those looking at getting involved in a horse who has the rating to run in those big value races and take his owners to the big meetings at a sensible price.

Mouse O’Ryan – ‘He’s a lovely looking horse who has shown how tough he is with the amount of races he has taking in his stride so far in his career. He’s as clean as a whistle and we believe he can mix it at black type level over hurdles and also has the profile to look at those high value races on the level. We’ve been lucky buying out of the Mulvany yard before and I’m confident this will be another one.’

Gordon Elliott – ‘He’s a gorgeous model of a horse who moves for fun, I recommended that Pioneer buy him as I believe he is another horse who will win his fair share of races for the syndicate and we have plenty of nice options that we can take with him over the jumps and also the flat, His form ties in with Saint Felicien and Teahupoo who would both be horses of mine with plenty of ability, We will get him in our system and looking at him he’s a horse we can look to improve’.
