Pioneer are over the moon to have secured this regally bred Filly by the highly revered champion National Hunt Sire Flemensfirth out of the Black type Kings Theatre Mare Takeyourcapoff.

Flemensfirth has been crowned champion sire on multiple occasions and remains Coolmores flagship National Hunt Stallion (https://coolmore.com/stallions/flemensfirth), he continues to produce top level National Hunt horses with household names such as Tidal Bay, Flemenstar, Topofthegame, Lostintranslation, Waiting Patiently and possibly the best known of all being his Gold Cup winning son Imperial Commander, the list goes on in which you can view here: https://www.racingpost.com/profile/horse/96578/flemensfirth.

The dam Takeyourcapoff won plenty of races under rules including some for Gordon and achieved black type during her career. Her pedigree is a strong one being by Kings Theatre who himself sired plenty of National Hunt stars such as Cue Card, Bellshill, Menorah, The New One and recent Cheltenham hero Champ who it turns out is bred on the same line as Takeyourcapoff (out of a Definite Article mare) and she is also a full sister to the Graded winner Peregrine Run who has won 17 races and counting.

The Flemensfirth x Kings Theatre cross which our filly consists of is producing some high quality horses including a pair of Black type mares currently trained in Ireland that you will be familiar with in the Willie Mullins trained Yukon Lil and Henry De Bromhead trained Minella Melody and also the Nigel Twiston-Davies trained Good Boy Bobby and the Rebecca Curtis trained Sunset Showdown.

Flemensfirth himself is carving his name out as a broodmare sire with horses such as Identity Thief, Next Destionation, Ok Corral and Roksana being on the list which gives owners the added bonus of resale value once the filly ends her racing career add to the fact she is also out of a blacktype mare giving the pedigree depth.

The filly is strongly built and has a lovely presence to her and will is in pre-training with Dot Love & Ciaran Murphy with the plan to then join Gordon’s yard. Gordon knows the family very well and is excited to be welcoming her to the team. The half-brother Off Your Rocco is a first time out bumper winner for Pioneer and has been pleasing Gordon and his team.
