Pioneer are excited to have secured this beautiful moving Gelding by French stallion Style Vendome out of the High Chaparral mare High Princess who hails from the family of black-type performer Open Eagle and group winner Viane Rose.
The sire Style Vendome who himself is by the famous French sire Anabaa, was a multiple Group winner including the Group 1 Poule d’Essai des Poulains (French 2000 Guineas) amongst his wins. He has himself sired Group winners on the flat and over jumps including Lily’s Candle and Matfog amongst them.
The dam of our gelding High Princess has a pedigree to die for being a half sister to Group winner Viane Rose who in turn has become a broodmare to blacktype horses and also to the classy dual purpose performer Open Eagle (Grade 2 winner over hurdles). She is by High Chaparral who was a fabulous racehorse and has proven to be a outstanding sire and more importantly in this case a very good broodmare sire. With top level performers under both codes including The Wow Signal, Penhill, Lady Buttons and Elgin. The dam of High Princess, Princesse De Viane was herself a winner on the track and siblings include black type performers Alix Road (dam of Boardsmill’s new sire Sumbal) and Fils De Viane.
This gelding moves for fun, has a great attitude towards his work and plenty of scope which will put him in good stead when taking on obstacles. He has been broken in by Ciaran Murphy at his Charlestown base in Mullingar with the early signs being good and he has taken to jumping with ease and has made the transition to Cullentra House Stables.
